MultiVex Corporation was founded in 1983 by Robert C. McCord for the purposes of manufacturing and selling the finest automotive mirrors in the world.

The initial concept for these car mirrors started in 1977 with the unique concept that a mirror surface should be developed that accomplishes a desired rate of expansion of the field of view (FOV) while minimizing certain transitional optical problems such as those associated with conventional mirrors. After years of research, Mr. McCord developed his unique "line of sight" empirical equations capable of producing the desired optical transitions across the entire face of the mirror. (Click here for Diagram)

Since 1990, continuous improvements to the design and manufacturing methods of our superior car and motorcycle mirrors have been steadily accomplished.

MultiVex Corporation became MultiVex Mirror Company in 1993, and we are very proud of our long history of total devotion to quality, customer service, and ethical business practices.
